Rainbow Rice Krispie Treats Recipe
These vibrant Rainbow Rice Krispie Treats are ideal for any celebration. They're simple to make and will brighten up any dessert table.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cup rice krispies cereal
- 1 package mini marshmallows (10 oz)
- colored foods (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 15 minutes
Instructions
- In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the marshmallows until they are melted.
- Remove from the heat and add the vanilla extract.
- Stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
- Divide the mixture into six separate bowls.
- To each bowl, add a few drops of food coloring and stir until the desired color is achieved.
- In rainbow order, press each colored mixture into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
- (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple).
- Allow to cool and harden before cutting into squares.
